Rally 2026

The  Isle of Wight Branch Rally  will  be held over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday 5th and 6th September 2026.

The Annual IOW Morris Minor Rally is being held on Sunday 6th September, and this year the Club is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Our hugely successful Rally will be held  once again  at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway at Havenstreet.

Everyone is welcome to attend, and best of all, entry is completely free. Please bring your Morris Minor (or other classic car) to display on the Event field, it doesn’t have to be “show condition”.

Camping facilities are available on site from Friday 4 Sept at at a cost of £5 per pitch, payable at the event.

Please do note that you will need to be parked on the Event field no later than 9.30am, and there are no vehicle movements until the show closes. This is to comply the Railway’s strict health and safety policy, as it is a working railway with trains running and passengers moving around throughout the day.

As usual we are holding a raffle with all proceeds going to our nominated charity, which this

year is the Daisy Ring Bus, which provides free transport for cancer patients on the mainland.

We will also have “The Old Girl” vintage bus on site providing mystery tours. The fare is £5 per

person and all proceeds go to the IOW Bus Museum.

As always there are additional events that form part of our Rally Weekend. On Saturday 5th September at 1pm in the afternoon will be our popular Drive Out to Godshill, where you can enjoy a mooch around the shops, visit the Model Village or enjoy a cream tea at one of the cafes. Maps will be provided if needed!.

Godshill PO38 3HZ via the Downs Road, Yaverland, Sandown, Shanklin

Turn right from the car park, travel about a mile, take the first

turning on the left and at the end of the road give way and turn left

again on to Briddesford Road. Go straight across the roundabout and then turn left at the traffic lights on to the Downs Road towards Brading. Follow this road along down and up again to the top of the hill where you turn right onto Brading Downs Road towards Brading.

As you come off the Downs Road you follow the road down to the

right, at the traffic lights you go straight across on to the Bembridge Road. At the first roundabout you then turn right on to the Yaverland road towards Sandown. Drive along the seafront and then follow the road through Sandown High Street, at the end of this road turn left at the traffic lights towards Lake and Shanklin. At the traffic lights at the end of Lake High Street go straight on to Shanklin then

straight on through the next set of lights until you reach the traffic lights at the top of the hill on Shanklin High Street where you then turn right towards Godshill. Go straight on along this road past Whiteley Bank (Garage on the right sells E5 petrol) and Sandford until you get to Godshill then turn first right into the large Old

Smithy car park with free parking.

Also on Saturday evening from 6pm we fire up the barbecue on the Railway Event field, please bring your own food for grilling. Rolls and accompaniments will be provided. To celebrate our 40th anniversary, there's a live band to entertain you in The Barn, and the bar will be open for drinks.

Finally on Sunday evening, after the Rally, we’ll be meeting for dinner at Appley Manor at 7pm.
