Here are some extracts from our 2014 rally program, the full program will be for purchase at £2.00 along with a rally plaque on the Sunday 31st August 2014. Additionally we provide some more detail of the fun run on Saturday afternoon.
The Isle of Wight Morris Minor Owners Club would like to welcome you to our Branch Rally at Havenstreet Steam Railway Station. If you are a first time visitor to our Rally, then we hope you will enjoy the Rally and atmosphere. To all those regulars, welcome back.
Thank you all for coming to our
Rally, especially the many who have travelled long distances, we
appreciate that all mainland visitors have the additional expense of
the ferry crossing to join us, so thank you all.
Your Rally plaque, costing
£2.00, will get you a discount on the steam train if you show it
when purchasing your tickets, but consult the programme of events so
as to time your trip. There will also be trips on the OLD GIRL bus,
this is available at a donation, £3.00 upstairs, £2.00 down.
This year, in addition, we are
hosting BUSTIVAL, a bus rally; this will be a static display, but two
buses will operate a free shuttle service in to Newport
Derek Hunt's Bristol K, expected to be on display at Bustival |
We are once again hosting the
IOW Autojumble, providing additional Trade stands and interest around
the Rally field. Toilets are located in the Station, near the cafe
which is on the Rally side of the tracks, plus in the field.
Raffle tickets are available
from Rally Control, there are a number of superb prizes donated by
local businesses, to be won.
The IOWMMOC support a local
charity each year, and raffle proceeds go towards this. Last year our
nominated charity was Beaulieu House, a children's respite centre.
We hope that you all have an
enjoyable day, but remember, not everyone is as honest as you, so
please do not leave valuables unattended in your car. LOCK IT! The
IOWMMOC cannot be held responsible for any items lost or stolen.

We assemble for this in the Public Car Park at the front of Havenstreet Station at 1.45pm to leave in convoy at 2.00pm. We aim to put an Island car every five or six cars, so if you lose contact in front, just wait for the next few to come along. We will distribute maps on the day, as seen below:

by an IOWMMOC member, who is also a bus driver employed by Southern
Vectis. The trips will depart from the main car park which is the
other side of the railway line DO PLEASE REMEMBER to leave yourself
enough time to cross the line, for there is no bridge, and access is
only available via the crossing gates. Tickets are available from
Rally Control, for a donation of £3.00 for an upstairs seat, £2.00
